Thousands of visitors to the largest wine trade show!
OENOTELIA 2018, which took place in parallel with the FOOD EXPO 2018 exhibition, during March 10-12, with the dynamic participation of 146 exhibitors, the panorama of Greek wines and spirits, was the biggest wine trade show in Greece!
Thousands of visitors crossed the gates of the exhibition to get to know the richness of the Greek vineyards, the wines and spirits of domestic wine production and to make trade agreements.
Tourism professionals, caterers, wholesalers and retailers have had the opportunity to find everything about wine and spirits among 146 unique exhibitors. With Greek producers from all the regions of Greece, OENOTELIA covered the majority of the Greek vineyard while at the same time hosted exhibitors with a huge range of equipment for wine, bottling machines, winemaking systems, packaging, labels and wine accessories, vine nurseries and consulting services.
International interest in Greek wines
This year, OENOTELIA has grown to more than twice the surface, covering 2,500 sq. Meters. (compared to 1,150 sq. meters in 2017). Similarly, the number of international buyers increased, as more than 120 important foreign buyers were found in the exhibition, 75 of whom were hosted in the FOOD EXPO 2018 hosted buyer program and came from target markets such as America, Russia, China, Australia, Canada, and many other countries that traditionally support Greek wine. These buyers, during the exhibition, had about 2,500 b2b meetings with OENOTELIA’s exhibitors.
Wine tastings for professionals only!
The professional visitors of OENOTELIA 2018 also had the opportunity to get to know the Greek vineyard, the native varieties and the modern identity of the famous wines from Greece through the wine tastings that took place in the specially designed Wine Tasting Area of the exhibition.In particular, representative wines from each region, from a wide range of varieties and from the entire pricing range were available for testing at the Wine Tasting Area in Hall 1 of the Metropolitan Expo.Visitors to the exhibition received useful information on each of the wines that were sampled on the Wine Tasting Area and had the opportunity to compare the organoleptic characteristics of over 300 labels from all over Greece.
