The abundant Greek vineyard at the Wine Tasting Square

The Greek vineyard has a long history and is one of the oldest in the world. Due to its privileged geographical position as well as the climate of the region, Greece produces a wide array of wines, each with distinct characteristics and aromas. As a result, the wines of Greece blend together a centuries-old tradition with modern viticultural, and oenological practices, offering buyers exceptional and highly versatile indigenous varieties that show impressive potential in the global markets.

During the course of OENOTELIA 2019, the show’s trade visitors will be given the opportunity to get to know the Greek vineyard, the indigenous varieties of the country as well as the original character of the new wines of Greece, at a specially designed area in Hall 1 of the Metropolitan Expo exhibition center where various wine tastings and wine pairings will take place. In particular, wines representing each wine-growing region of Greece and from a wide range of varieties and price range—approximately 400 wines—will be available for testing.
