Visitors to OENOTELIA 2018 exhibition had the opportunity to attend wine-tasting seminars held in a specially designed room exclusively for hospitality, catering and retail professionals, with acclaimed oenologists and experienced sommelier.
The training seminars on wine tasting that took place during the three days of the exhibition in the specially designed room in Hall 1 were aimed at giving the professionals a complete picture of the Greek vineyard and also to inform them of the new trends and ways of wine management.
Specialized oenologists and sommelier Despina Moschaki, Spyros Triantafyllou, Fotis Stathopoulos and Aris Sklavenitis, through a comprehensive program, provided useful tips, knowledge and ideas for the development and improvement of their business. During the seminars, among others, Greek emerging white wine varieties were presented, tested and analyzed. Participants also learned a lot about the value and special characteristics of sparkling and rosé wine as well as the art of wine tasting, serving and preserving wine tasting and matching food. Finally, the participants also showed particular interest in the seminars on modern equipment and the specific techniques of wine storage and preservation, as well as on the upcoming trend of Wine Tourism and its prospects in Greece.
