Thousands of visitors attended Greece’s leading wine & spirits exhibition

The 5th OENOTELIA trade show concluded with resounding success and the promise of even more to come.

OENOTELIA constitutes the most significant wine & spirits exhibition for professionals in Greece. Taking place in conjunction with FOOD EXPO, the largest commercial forum for food & beverages in southeastern Europe, OENOTELIA focuses both on the domestic B2B market and on international target markets for Greek wine.

The overwhelming turnout at the event confirmed that it was a magnet for tens of thousands of visitors from Organized Retail, Hotels and Foodservice. This was due in large part to its exceptional level and the participation of some of the finest producers of wine and spirits in Greece.

Featuring 180 exhibitors, 3,200 square meters of exhibition area and 150 important wine importers, OENOTELIA 2019 once again proved to be the most significant wine and spirits exhibition in Greece. The focus is now on the 6th OENOTELIA, which will take place March 7-9, 2020, in parallel with FOOD EXPO 2020.

SPECIALIZED SEMINARS AND A RICH PROGRAM OF PARALLEL EVENTS

Seminars and master classes on wine-related topics and trends led by established oenologists and sommeliers for Hospitality, Catering and Retail professionals took place throughout the duration of the exhibition in a specially designed lecture hall. Professional visitors also had the opportunity to learn about Greek wine, its native varieties and the modern identity of many famous domestic wines through the wine-tasting sessions that took place in Wine-tasting Square, the exhibition’s dedicated Wine-Tasting Area.

IMPORTANT DEALS STRUCK THANKS TO THE COEXISTENCE OF OENOTELIA AND FOOD EXPO

Tens of thousands of professionals from Organized Retail (supermarkets, wine shops, minimarkets, etc.) and Foodservice (such as hotels, restaurants and catering) visit FOOD EXPO each year. The parallel organization of the two exhibitions this year too enabled wine-producing exhibitors to come into contact with visitors from FOOD EXPO, most of whom are important buyers of their products.
